Uhmmm...

I was expecting witty jokes relating to the Earthbound/Mother series, but instead got just another "let's have a game character beat the shit out of everything on screen". The plot is stupid too; "Ness goes crazy, the end!". What a shame. Study the character and actually make a Flash that serves him correctly.

Dude what the fuck you completely missed the point of this movie.
I know a lot about the Earthbound series, this wasn't made as a serious tribute or something. There is no story, its a collab where people could have fun using Ness's powers, real or fictitious, to mercilessly destroy everything in his path. It exists purely for expressiveness, humor, and mildly shallow entertainment.

The way you rated this would be like giving Jurassic Park a bad score because there's no way dinosaurs could exist today, why didn't they do their research oh man the movie sucked because dinosaurs aren't real today.

Not terrible...

As an ex-sprite animator myself though, I can safely tell you sprite animation is WAY easier than drawing it all normally. If you were really stuck by limited sprites, you'd make some custom ones. But yeah as I said this wasn't bad (I've seen way worse) but it's nothing truely noteworthy, tons of these sorts of Flases are on the internet already.

The worst thing you can do...

... is say this is not an SMBZ clone despite the fact it clearly is, that only invites the comparison even more so (although this seems more DoD inspired). I personally think it seems so out of place and stupid to see Mario characters flying around shooting beams and swinging swords. Don't waste your time imitating Alvin-Dickworm, the series is so overhyped it's hilariously sad. Try and come up with your own thing. :>

I'm sorry you didn't like it. :/ I tried to include less Dragon Ball oriented things, because my actual series, really doesn't have beams everywhere and people yelling kamehameha or something, rather it has full scale battles and not as much dragon ball thing. I really wanted to keep them seperate. I did kind of rush my intro a bit and I wasn't able to put as much full scale battle between koopa and toadstool, so sorry.

Hehe, wow.

A sprite animation these days that's actually good is almost unheard of. As this is a sprite flash the animation was pretty bare bones, but animating the individual body parts of some characters and the alternate camera angles was a nice touch. The writing is was really made this shine though. It was very witty and you of course, made reference to shitty Mario Vs Sonic flashes.

The voice acting did have a varying degree of success in some areas, but I enjoyed this enough to not really care about that. Well done. :>

Thanks man, I know who you are too, I really appreciate your comment. I probably got 0 bombed by alot of those 12 year olds out of spite with the sonic v mario thing, but so worth it. :) But its really the voice actors who supported me that deserve the most recognition. Without their individual talents, it would be even shittier than a sonic v mario.

I like this.

I like the story for this series, and for a sprite flash it is is a nice change from the other crap you get. My only gripe is this episode was extremely text heavy. Voice acting would help, but I suppose it's not a prerequisit if you're trying to stay true to the games.

Thanks, Daily 2nd was a nice boost of encouragement for me. And yeah this one was a mostly just story. Not all episodes will have this much text. And I'm making it a requirement that I have at least one battle in every episode.

[The Many Kirbys Collab]

M'kay.

This collab is an alright collab (nothing special), but just like the original it has varying degrees of success. The only skits that I really liked were Sword Kirby and Ninja Kirby. I didn't care much for anything else, and a couple tried way too hard to suck a laugh out of me. It also doesn't help that a couple of these parts had already been submitted to the portal as solo works. On the plus side however, the artwork used in the parts was very good, even Masa's custom pixel art. The sprited parts were pretty forgettable.

And as I've said, lay off collabs for a while and try and make your own solo things. See how you fare without the help of others.
