Not the worst SMBZ "parody"?

Look it's basically the same as SMBZ. You can call it a spin off if you want, but I'd call it a rip off. I will once again stress that unless Mario and Luigi have GOOD voice actors, they should NEVER speak in full sentences. Also, putting Dragon Balls in there instead of using the Star Spirits or Chaos Emeralds only proves futher that you are trying too hard to make this seem different to SMBZ. Another important factor from SMBZ that Alvin managed to do almost perfectly was capture the nature and personality of all the characters. Shadow couldn't give a shit about anyone but himself, Mario never talks in full sentences etc. This is whatl you need to remember. You are setting yourself up for failure if you can't even get the characters right.

Anyway I somehow doubt that this series is continued. It's been almost 2 years and you've only released one episode. If you are still working on it, at the very least wait until SMBZ is finished. In that case, you have a long time to wait.

You put effort into the animation which got you 1 point. As for originality, graphics, story and sound effects, you get none. The exact same Dragonball Z sound effects, the exact same blur and special effects from SMBZ and this may just be me talking, but Mario and Luigi must NEVER talk in full sentences unless they have a GOOD voice actor. Text doesn't work for Mario, thus why he never talks in the video games.

As for the story, it's almost insulting I'm sorry to say. Bowser has mysteriously become powerful and Shadow built this device which allows him to communicate with the Mushroom Kingdom. As for Silver, don't even bother with him. He was in one game and that game sucked majorly.

SMBZ was good because it did something lots of people who made Mario and Sonic movies had been trying to do for ages. Now, it seems that it's come back to bite us on the arse as people are now desperately trying to get in on the success of Alvin's work by completely ripping it off.

I'm not having a go at you, but for the love of all that is holy put your Flash skills to use on something else, because your skill is there. I'm prepared to get absolutely toasted by fans of this movie for giving less than an 8/10, but in all honesty they only like it because Mario and Sonic are in it flying around and beating each other up.

It's a little small, but it kicks ass in every way possible. It's original, well animated and funny. Good work.

Bad.

Sorry but this was nothing more than a knock off of SMBZ. You used the same graphics and fight mechanics except the animation was terrible. Also, there is no preloader and it just loops after it's finished. Use your efforts in Flash for something a little more original.
